This vid is a bit out of date, as Th!ink will be using zinc nickle chloride Zebra batteries or a Tesla designed LiIon battery pack. H2 fuel cells are far too expensive, H2 storage is too expensive, and H2 is too expensive.

a person only needs to read up on all the problems with fuel cells to realize they cannot be on the market for at least 20- 30 years, and would still have enormous disadvantages to the battery electric cars we already have. By the time fuel cells could be viable, EVs will be the norm, they will be far more advanced than now, and so fuel cells will never be able to hit the market.

(currently they are working on a huge order of EVs for two California utility companies). DeLorean4, it’s (cont’d)… EEstor, not E-store– with the correct spelling they’ll be able to google it! lol…but they will not have any cars available for at least a few months either… try A123 Systems… Firefly battery is another company with exciting tech but no products on the market yet.

it’s so irritating to see stuff popping up all the time about how fuel cells will be the future– bull! I just wish Phoenix Motorcars (the exclusive users of Altair’s battery) was available in ample quantities now… I’m in the initial stages of converting a BMW to an EV. It will be expensive, but I’ll recoup my investment in the ultra-cheap cost of electricity– by the time the batteries wear out, hopefully Phoenix will be selling to the public… (cont’d)

fuel cells will be brought to us by … the Energy Fairy

I totally agree! You talk about E-store..I heard that Altairnano batteries for the Phoenix motorcars will recharge in 10 minutes. They have already made a test and it worked well. Screw the oil and autoindustry…I will start converting my own cars so I can sell electric cars here in Sweden. The gasprice in Sweden is MUCH higher in Sweden, so the price-difference will be significant.

The words “Fuel Cell” give me such a head ache. Implementing that kind of technology in a car is scientific arrogance, electric cars are here and now and only need to have recharging time taken care of to leave Hydrogen technology in the dust. Even then, E-store has already developed a battery for EV use that can recharge in about 15 minutes.
