I have a 2001 Ford Superduty 7.3 Diesel, can I switch frrom diesel fuel to Hydrogen fuel and pull a 5th wheel?

5th wheel weighs 13700 Lbs. Hydrogen fuel has more octain power than diesel. Water is easier to get. I no longer send my money to the arabs. Hydrogen fueling stations are available in L.A. Calif. Shell is already leading the pack. Any body else interested???

you could use bio (vegetable oil).
hydrogen’s really different.
you’d have to replace both the gas tank and the engine.
just for starters.

Hydrogen fuel in an internal combustion engine will cause metal brittleness. This is most likely to result in broken pistons, but it will also mess up the fuel lines.
Because hydrogen passes through metal, you would have to make sure that the vehicle is not left inside where hydrogen may accumulate.
If your hydrogen is coming from natural gas, you can burn LNG and get more power from the same amount of natural gas. The LNG is likely to be safer to store. because it does not pass thru steel as readily, it does not create brittle metal.
LNG or CNG are also available in far more places.
LNG/cng can be introduced in the air intake leaving the diesel system intact and providing the ignition fuel.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly, diesel is measured in Cetane, not Octane.
Secondly, diesel fuel uses compression ignition, hydrogen requires a spark like gasoline. Two completely different and non compatible systems Besides, diesel is more powerful and efficient.
You could use bio diesel, But I advise against it. Bio diesel works best in older mehanical engines and a few specially made modern engines. The powerstroke v8 doesn’t take to it very well.
Oh and a hint~ most current Hydrogen is made from oil.

No sorry, diesel engine are not designed to burn hydrogen, during the compressing cycle you will ignite the hydrogen and it will force the piston down when it’s supposed to be going up, read backfire at best, blown engine at worse.
Diesel isn’t rated in octain it rated in cetane octain has no relevence in diesels engine.
If you’re talking about the HHO kits save your money they are just a con and yes I can PROVE it.

For completing above answer, consider to read this valued site that totally talking about hydrogen fuel. Never lie by water for fuel scam products.
