Every thing you need for your own home bar
Once you convert from a gas to an electric water heater you will have to stay with that. You may want to go to an on demand water heater, they are quite expensive, and a true pain in the butt to install, however, they only heat the water being used. Same goes for a furnace. The cost of all this would not be worth what’s saved, because heating with Electricity costs a lot more than with gas.

Putting in an electric water heater and furnace really only involve running new lines, and having the gas company turn off your gas supply. Contact a local electrician to have a better understanding as codes vary from locale to locale.
Another option would be to simply install a new furnace or hot water tank which would probably have greater levels of efficiency. That’s what I did and my gas bill was cut by more than half, and I run everything(including my dryer) on gas in Northwestern Pennsylvania.

You can do it but it isn’t going to be cheap. Thousands rather then hundreds.

hot water is easy and will cost less then a thousand bucks…if you get an electric tank…tankless will be alot more…as far as electric heat,it will be a hell of a lot cheaper then gas…if you think it wont, then you probably dont live where you need it half the year…but, you cant simply change something in the existing furnace.you would need to replace the furnace, if you need to do that anyway, go with and electric,if you dont, then dont…you will be looking at around…3-4 thousand dollars to do both things…

Best bet is to replace for newer, more efficient heater and/or furnace, as the piping is known to work.
Second best is to insulate what you have, which includes windows, doors, and the tank and furnace.
Third best is to investigate solar, assuming it is even an option.
Last is to replace for electric (see other posts on how to do this, but it will be expensive). Yes, gas is more now, but it wasn’t always. Are you going to swap back when gas becomes cheaper?? Also, you may need a significant wiring upgrade to support the huge load of an electric furnace.
If your home is steam/water-heated, it will make no sense to convert just the water heater, as it adds only a minor load onto your greater heating requirement.

Each thing would be different. Say your appliances in the kitchen. Take oven out, replace with electric. AHHH I know what you are thinking, convert Gas to ELectric. You can convert propane to gas in a stove with a little valve, but there is no such thing as converting gas to electric on a stove. You will need to get new appliances in every case I can think of, you will need to upgrade your service to handle the extra power, if it not already domne. You will need to run wires to all the appliances from the panel. You will need an electrician which can charge 65-75 dollars an hour. You will need lots of fmoney.
List of things to buy
1. Stove or oven
2. Hot water tank
3. Furnace
4. New panel
5. Wire, lots of wire
6. Dryer
7. bbq
Good luck to you, maybe it would be cheaper to move. Or pay your gas bill.
